School starts August 20. This date already has begun to loom over me as I question what’s left on the list of things I want to do this summer. In the past few days, especially after getting back from South Padre Island, I’ve tried to figure out, at least for my courthouse project, where is it that I need to get to while I still have the time to do so.

May officially marks the beginning of courthouse season. In previous years, I’ve done “courthousing” in whatever month of the year I had time. However, I have found, as I learn to take better pictures at each spot, that the best times to do it are spring and summer. For the remainder of my project, I intend to solely visit courthouses during these months (April-August).

That being said, it’s understandable why I’d want to get as much work done as I can before the school doors open up for another year. I definitely will not have as much time as I do now when that happens.

So I’ve narrowed my summer hopes down to three more destinations. If I get to all of them, great. If I don’t, then I’ll have something more to look forward to come May 2015. They are:

1) Texas Hill Country

2) South Texas Round 2 (from Eagle Pass to Laredo to Rio Grande Valley) 

3) Northeast Texas (Texarkana region) 

These are my goals, and hopefully, I’ll be able to attain them.
